3 years ago, long before the WUP (windsurfstandup) took off, we had introduced our concept shape # 2, the Summer Board, then a 12’ hybrid sailboard offering both leisure sailing and paddling capabilities.
Since practices and shapes have quickly evolved.
The AHD Sealion got the box of conformism to explode, with a totally different shape and a very wide range of performances.
Today AHD is finally able to re-open the door to beginners, and families, reintroducing casual stand-up sailing and paddling on lakes and off beaches.

Here is at last a very refined board, the result of a several years of development, an easy and friendly, learning, cruising, surfing, sailing and paddling tool.

Shape
A 9’ (274 cm) «retro fish» shape, the A-H-D Summer Board features a 152 litres volume on a 75.6 cm max-width making it a very compact board.
As with the Sealion the underwater shape is veed along the full length.
We have also kept the twin-fins set up which has proved so successful in low wind ranges.
To make it easier for beginners, we have offered the opportunity to fit a large fin, as a centreboard, in a Powerbox located just aft of the mast-step.
Voluminous rails ensure good performance in the surfs and a great stability.
A rather curved scoop-line allows a soft glide both when cruising and surfing.

On the water
The A-H-D Summer Board is an easy board, offering fun in many disciplines, for any size surfers, whatever their experience is!
Fitted with a central centreboard, this board can very well climb upwind while being very stable.
It is the board of choice for gentle light-weather cruising, or just to learn windsurfing.
In the waves, with or without sails, it’s just a cool board, on which you may surf all types of waves without any need for too radical or too technical actions.
It’s easy, stable, and forgiving.
Larger surfers will finally have found the board they needed to join the fray on very light winds days.

Il y a 3ans, avant que la vague WUP (windsurfstandup) ne déferle sur le marché, nous présentions notre concept shape # 2, la Summer Board, un flotteur hybride de 12' pour la pratique de la planche à voile et du Stand Up Paddle.
Depuis, la discipline et le développement ont fait leur chemin.
La Sealion est venu dynamiter la pratique, avec ses caractéristiques et ses performances hors normes.
Aujourd'hui, AHD ouvre la porte aux débutants, aux lacs, à la balade en SUP ou en windsurf.

Un flotteur abouti, fruit de plusieurs années de réflexion, facile et accessible, pour la balade, l'apprentissage, le stand up et le surf sailing!

Le Shape
Shape «retro fish» de 9' de long, la Summer Board offre un volume de 152 litres sur une largeur de 75,6cm. L'encombrement est limité.
Comme la Sealion, sa carène est en V sur toute la longueur.
L'option twinfins, idéale dans les bas régime, est confirmée.
Pour les débutant, un aileron central «dérive» est adaptable grâce à un boîtier Powerbox situé en arrière du pied de mat.
Les rails volumineux garantissent un bon rendement en surf et une bonne stabilité stabilité.
Le scoop assez courbe offre des performances douces en glisse et en surf.

Sur l'eau
La Summer Board est facile, efficace dans tous les domaines, pour tous les gabarits et pour tous les niveaux!
Avec l'option dérive centrale, le flotteur développe une très bonne remontée au vent et une stabilité efficace. C'est l'option idéale pour se balader dans le petit temps ou tout simplement pour apprendre la planche à voile.
En option surf, avec ou sans voile, c'est un flotteur cool, capable de surfer tout type de vagues sans être trop radical ou technique. C'est facile, stable, tolérant.
Les gabarits les plus gros trouveront un flotteur adapté pour venir jouer dans la pétole.

Plus que jamais, le windsurf est de retour dans le petit temps, et pour tout le monde!

June 20th and 21st, at Loch beach, Cap Sizun, Brittany, France

It will be Music Festival day and the very first summer week-end:
The right time to enjoy sunny Cap Sizun!

Le Loch beach is right on the main-road from Audierne to Pointe du Raz.
A little natural anchorage tucked between rocks, its sandy beach makes it an ideal surfing stadium.

The surfing arena can be watched from a number of sightseeing spots, offering stunning views from above.
Fully safe as well as beautiful, this is the ideal Sealion spot, both paddling and windsurfing.
There are often small waves there, but never any huge one!

A friendly spot for any surfer whatever the weather, this is also a wonderful walking area; the coastal path will take you straight to Pointe du Raz in 1 hour.
On site, a lot of shore activities have been planned for the whole family, with beach games, board introduction sessions,

and a huge dinner Saturday night at Le Loch port, a great evening run by Primelin and Plogoff villages who associated themselves for this event on the beach they share.
Music bands will be taking turns on stage, all week-end long.

This is the nicest of opportunities to come and enjoy Cap Sizun on shore, on the water or both!

Mondial Sealion

Les 20 et 21 juin prochain en Cap Sizun, plage du Loch.

C'est la Fête de la musique et le premier weekend de l'été!

L'occasion de passer un bon moment en Cap Sizun.

La plage du Loch est située sur la route de la Pointe du Raz depuis Audierne, entre Primelin et Plogoff.

Petit port encaissé dans les rochers, sa plage de sable ressemble à un stade nautique naturel.

Le plan d'eau est visible depuis tout un tas de point de vue, d'angles plus ou moins plongeant. Sécurisant et beau, il est l'endroit idéal pour la pratique du Sealion en Stand Up ou en Windsurf. Il y a souvent un peu de vagues, et ce n'est jamais gros!

Accessible à tous quelles que soient les conditions, l'endroit est également idéale pour la promenade, avec son sentier du littoral qui mène à la pointe du Raz en 1h.

En plus des épreuves de windsurf et de Stand up Paddle, le site proposera également des animations à terre, pour les grands et les petits avec des jeux, de l'initiation, et surtout le grand banquet du samedi soir, au Port du Loch, organisé par les comités d'animations de Primelin et Plogoff, les deux communes liées par la plage et pour l'évènement.

Des groupes se succèderont sur la scène tout le weekend.

L'occasion est belle de venir participer, sur l'eau ou à terre à cet événement unique en Cap Sizun!
