A great leap forward for AHD

<p class="reg"> <span class="title">AHD Inspiro 79</span> <br>
The new style Inspiro is a break from the Free Diamond line-up that AHD had been successfully running with for the last few seasons. Constructed in Switzerland, the factory is now on its way to Tunisia, but the quality of AHDÿ?s finish remains exemplary. The most noticeable aspect of the Inspiroÿ?s design is quite obviously those huge retro wingers set on the back of the board. It also features the trademark single concave, but is much less pronounced in this board than the shapes of old. The fin is extremely long at 52cm, but is fairly thin and flexible with it. </p>

<p class="reg"> On the water the Inspiro turned out to be a very potent and high performing board. Its width ensured a good sail carrying capacity, which, together with its larger fin, made sure it was up and going in the lightest of breezes. Once planning, the back foot fitted neatly into the cleft of the winger and there was a lot of controllable lift from the fin, helping to push it on to a very respectable top end speed. The overall ride was quite sprightly for such a big board and it felt at home with both blasting and manoeuvre sails alike. It has a very solid and dependable feel in the water, which gives you a great deal of confidence to push the board further. Upwind ability was also impressive; that fin really helps the board point and when the speed slows there is more than enough width there to stop the board from sinking. We were stunned to see how well the Inspiro gybed for such a big board. Indeed, at nearly 80cm wide and with a 52cm fin, the Inspiro cut a fantastically hard, clean and fast arc without too much persuasion. It takes little in the way of sail power to engage the rail and it holds its speed well. It is most definitely a vast improvement on the Formula Diamond series boards with more feel, manoeuvrability, wind range and comfort.</p>

A great leap forward for AHD, the Inspiro has a particularly lively feel and a staggering amount of manoeuvrability for its size. Itÿ?s a big board with a large capacity for sail and weight carrying, but is very versatile and well suited to all UK conditions and riders.</p>

<p class="reg"> Le nouveau style Inspiro constitue un break dans la lignée des Free Diamond que AHD présente avec succès depuis déjà quelques saisons. Sur ce flotteur construit en Suisse
(lÿ?usine est en plein déménagement en Tunisie mais la qualité de finition dÿ?AHD reste exemplaire), lÿ?aspect le plus marquant du design est clairement ces énormes retro-wingers taillés dans lÿ?arrière de la planche. La 79 présente aussi la marque de fabrique familiale, le simple concave, mais il est beaucoup moins prononcé sur cette board que sur les anciens shapes. Lÿ?aileron est long, 52 cm, mais il est plutôt fin et flexible.</p>

<p class="reg"> Sur lÿ?eau, cela se traduit par une planche très efficace et très performante. Sa largeur assure une bonne capacité à porter des grandes voiles, ce qui, combiné avec un grand aileron, assure une bonne vitesse dans les brises les plus légères. Une fois au planing, le pied arrière bien calé dans le creux du winger et le lift de lÿ?aileron super contrôlable nous ont permis de la pousser, dÿ?atteindre une vitesse de pointe très respectable. La navigation générale est plutôt vive pour une si grosse planche et on se sent rapidement « comme à la maison » dessus. Elle possède un feeling solide et très sûr, ce qui vous donne une bonne dose de confiance pour pousser la board toujours plus loin. Sa capacité à remonter au vent est également impressionnante. Lÿ?aileron aide vraiment à la direction et, quand le vent faiblit, il y a plus quÿ?assez de largeur pour conserver une bonne flottabilité. Nous sommes restés scotchés par la facilité au jibe sur une si grosse planche. En effet, à presque 80 cm de large et malgré un aileron de 52 cm, lÿ?Inspiro autorise une courbe incroyablement régulière, propre et rapide, sans nécessiter trop de pression et tout en maintenant sa vitesse. Cette planche apporte indéniablement une grosse amélioration dans la série des Diamond. Elle procure plus de feeling et de maniabilité sur une plage
de vent très étendue et dans un confort absolu.</p>

<p class="reg"> <span class="head">Verdict :</span> <br>
Un grand bon en avant pour AHD. Lÿ?Inspiro possède un feeling particulièrement vif et une incroyable maniabilité pour sa taille. Cÿ?est une grosse planche avec une grande capacité à porter les plus grandes voiles et les plus grands gabarits, mais elle est surtout très polyvalente et bien adaptée à tous les riders et toutes les conditions de Grande-Bretagne.</p>

<p class="reg">It's time for serious gear. <br>
Kiteboarding is now coming mature and we've proved with our AHD T-Types that the Kite world now has to reckon with AHD boards.<br>
The <span class="head">Nostro</span> introduce a new concept with shorter and larger twin tips.<br>
The scoop has a small and flat 20 centimeter-section in the middle, essential to rail, accelerate, and rotate all the spin tricks.<br>
The concaves in the scoop are a bit deeper in the centerpart and under the tips than in the thirds of the board, thus once again easing the spin and gliding tricks. These concaves, combined with the unique flex of the Nostros, also bring comfort in chop and early planing.<br>
The building process, our exclusive monocoque sandwich with a full PVC foam core, brings custom weight and finish, with a durability and reproducibility that only serious production allows. No reshaping after opening the mould.<br>
The "pop" and the flex are the same, perfectly mastered one by one.
You can be sure that whichever board you buy, it will be a good one, and it is good to know it.<br>
The width of our new short twin tip Nostro brings earlier planing and smoothes the landings.<br>
The short length favours all no foot or no hand tricks. </p>

Le kitesurf est dorénavant un sport mûr et nous avons démontré, avec nos T-Types, que le monde du kite devra désormais compter avec AHD.<br>
Les <span class="head">Nostro</span> introduisent un nouveau concept de Twin Tips plus courts et plus larges.<br>
Leur scoop présente une section plate de 20 cm dans le milieu, essentielle pour cranter, accélérer ou envoyer toutes les rotations à plat.<br>
Les concaves sont plus prononcés sous le milieu et les extrémités de la board que dans les tiers de la longueur, toujours afin de faciliter les tricks de rotation et de slides. Ces concaves combinés au flex unique des Nostro procurent également un confort parfait dans le clapot et un planing ultra-rapide.<br>
Notre construction exclusive en monocoque sandwich autour d'un noyau en mousse PVC permet un poids et un finish de custom associés à une durabilité et une reproductibilité que seule une production sérieuse est capable d'apporter. Nous n'apportons aucune retouche manuelle au shape après démoulage.<br>
Le "pop" et le flex sont les mêmes, planche par planche, parfaitement maîtrisés. Quelle que soit la Nostro que vous choisirez, elle sera bonne, et c'est bon de le savoir.<br>
Plus larges, les Nostro planent plus vite et favorisent les amerrissages en douceur.<br>
Leur faible longueur élimine toute gêne possible dans tous les "no foot" ou "no hand" tricks.</p>

<p class="reg">Organized by <span class="head">Tinho Dornellas</span>, this playful but nevertheless key event brings together each year more and more riders and fixes the beginning of the Formula racing season. <br>
This kickoff stand out by a faultless ride of <span class="head">Antoine Albeau</span>, who set up the pace to all by leading sometimes with up to one minute in front of his direct pursuers.<br>
By winning a maximum of races in an event competed in light wind conditions, he proved to many that he is not only a racing machine in strong wind.<br>
Perfectly adjusted on his <span class="head">Formula 98 NT</span>, Antoine flew over the decisive races and demonstrated his tactics and his winning mental, leaving serious doubts to his competitors.<br>

<p class="reg">Organisée par <span class="head">Tinho Dornellas</span>, cette épreuve aussi sympathique que sérieuse rassemble chaque année plus de compétiteurs et marque le coup dÿ?envoi de la saison Formula.<br>
Coup dÿ?envoi marqué par un sans faute dÿ?<span class="head">Antoine Albeau</span>, qui a donné le la à toute la flotte en sÿ?imposant avec parfois jusquÿ?à une minute dÿ?avance sur ses poursuivants directs.<br>
En remportant un maximum de manches dans une épreuve courue plutôt dans des vents limites, il a fait taire par la même occasion tous les observateurs qui ne voyaient en lui quÿ?une bête de vent fort. <br>
Parfaitement réglé sur sa <span class="head">Formula 98 NT</span>, il a survolé les manches décisives et fait parler sa tactique et son mental de gagneur, laissant ses meilleurs adversaires à dÿ?horribles doutes.<br>
