Option single fin :
Conditions requises : jump sessions, vent fort, surtoilé, bump & jump
Position aileron central : milieu

Fly over your spot
on your Seal Concept!
The Seal is different, it changes your habits.
The Seal is a surfboard that sails:
Dedicated to surf, it excels in side on, side, side off and off shore winds.
The Rider shall stand straighter up on both feet than on a classical board; he shall push more on his front leg when gliding, and more on his back leg for carving.

2 riders on Seal Concept, pushing on their front leg.
Your Seal needs to be sailed from rail to rail like a surf board. It doesn't like flat sailing. Every action on the rails will bring accelerations.
Your Seal requires you to be 100% pro-active.
When surfing down the line, going from "rail to rail" is required.
For bottom turns, the rider must come from opposite rail! That is how this shape works.

Bruno on the opposite rail, ready for the bottom turn.
True accelerations allows you to bottom turn farther away from the wave then to face the lip for a wild cut back (drawing a Large S on the wave).
A classical board would always go more "down the line" with less curve.
The Seal is really short:
The mast box is at 105cm from the tail, and the distance between foot straps is wide.
The rig will naturally push forward towards the nose as its base is further back than on a classical shape.
It can feel uncomfortable at the beginning until the need to get into your foot straps before you actually start planning is understood.
Looking first for planning would inevitably result in your board pushing water!
On the other hand, the Seal rider can stay in his foot straps through wind holes, or plane very quickly and jump wave after wave.
A truly compact board, your Seal can face white water and is really stable to reach the peak.

Tri-fins option:
To be used in: surf conditions, just powered or under powered sailing.
Mast position in the aft 1/3 of the box with any sail size!
Foot straps position: full outside: Typical surf position!
Central fin position: at the front of the box.
Single fin option:
To be used in: jump sessions, Hi wind, over powered sailing, bump & jump or freestyle sessions
Mast position would be from the middle to the front of the box.
Front foot straps to be positioned further aft.
Fin position: in the middle of the box.
