WHAT IS THIS SCREW???
June 9th.
The vent screw is very important, use it carefully!

The grey screw, usually placed in front or at the back of the mast box is called the vent screw,
it enables your board to ÿ?breathÿ?.
In summer, when the outside temperature climbs up to 25°c, the pressure inside the board increases. This reaction is caused by the variation in temperature, the same thing happens when travelling by plane.
You need to use the vent screw!
Ideally you should open it after each session, and it is important that you do not forget to close it every time you go sailing. That is the way Bruno usually does, he closes the screw as soon as a board goes out of the van, and opens it when he puts it back.

If you leave your board for a long time on the beach, you can open the screw, listen to the air escape out of the board, and close it back again. A small coin (10 cents euros or Quarter dollars) is enough.

Make sure that there is no rubbish under or around the black joint.
Also do not use force when screwing, as this would crush and destroy the joint.
Take good care of your board by using vent screw correctly!
